Project End Alopecia (Gluten-Free): Day 16
June 11, 2018
I haven’t been updating this journal on a daily basis. There hasn’t been much difference in what we’re doing in terms of nutrition and gluten-free diet every day. We’re also still diligent with topical ginger juice and essential oils treatment, however we are spacing it out some days, giving the scalp a little break on some days when Little Claire would resist it. In this entry, I’ll share today’s update on her hair growth.
Today’s status
Overall, hair regrowth is slow but steady and quite apparent on areas with bald spots.
The patchy area on the right parietal ridge appears smaller and smaller each day, with new hair growth sprouting up. The bald patch at the back of the head (lower crown + nape) area is also slowly closing up with the new hair growth getting longer.
The view of the crown area from the top is also slowly looking better, with some tiny new growth covering up some parts of the previously bald patches. To get a more voluminous look, I would detangle her hair first with a sandalwood comb, and then use a boar bristle to slowly brush the strands.
