Hair and Scalp Nourish Roller Bottle – 100% Pure, High Quality, Natural Oils for Convenient Spot Treatment

The same Hair and Scalp Nourish Oils is now available in roller bottle for convenient daily spot treatment.

The right topical care can be incredibly supportive in our efforts to overcome Alopecia, by reducing hair loss and accelerating healthy hair regrowth, when coupled with an overall diet and lifestyle approach which I teach extensively in the Winning Alopecia Program.

A number of natural oils and essential oils have been studied for their effects on promoting hair growth. Hair and Scalp Nourish is a formula that I’ve created and used for years to support my daughter’s own Alopecia recovery journey.

A randomized, double-blind, controlled trial published in 1998 concluded that treatment with essential oils — lavender, cedarwood, rosemary and thyme — was significantly more effective than treatment with carrier oils alone. The study showed that 44% of participants who used essential oils mixed with carrier oils got improvement in their Alopecia Areata, compared to only 15% who used only carrier oils.

Instead of buying all the different oils and mixing them yourself, Hair and Scalp Nourish product is ready to use, and it contains a range of pure, high quality oils that have been known and shown to help support healthy hair growth.

Essential oils must be diluted in carrier oil before being applied to the skin and scalp to avoid irritation. I have chosen carrier oils that also have hair growth promoting properties in order to optimise the effects of all these oils.

Remember that hair growth cycles take time, and best results are expected when the oils are used regularly, and when all aspects of your diet and lifestyle are also taken care of.

Rosemary

Rosemary oil is long touted to be THE oil for promoting hair growth and hair thickness. It stimulates hair growth by dilating the blood vessels and promoting cell proliferation, therefore enhancing blood flow through the blood vessels on the scalp. Rosemary extract has also been studied for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. A 2015 study showed that rosemary oil was just as effective as 2% minoxidil (widely known as Rogaine) in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, and came with less side effects.

Peppermint

Similar to rosemary, the menthol in peppermint oil helps stimulate the scalp and hair follicles, improving blood circulation, which in turn encourages the follicles to grow new hair as they receive an adequate amount of blood supply. A 2014 study on mice showed that treatment using peppermint oil achieved the most prominent hair growth effects: significant increase in dermal thickness, follicle number and follicle depth, and outperformed treatments using jojoba oil and 3% minoxidil.

Cedarwood

Cedarwood oil is beneficial for reducing hair loss and preventing further hair loss or thinning. It works by balancing the oil-producing glands on the scalp.

Lavender

Lavender oil was shown to have effective hair-growth promoting effects in this 2016 study on mice.

Thyme

Thyme oil helps to strengthen hair follicles, stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth and thickness. When mixed with other essential oils, thyme is shown to have beneficial effects for people with Alopecia Areata. However, thyme is considered to be a ‘stronger’ oil and must be used sparingly.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil contains lauric acid which has high affinity for hair proteins, and low molecular weight that makes it easy to penetrate into the hair shaft and promote hair growth. In a 2003 study, coconut oil treatments were found to be helpful for hair health when compared to mineral oil and sunflower oil. In the study, participants that used coconut oil had the lowest rate of hair protein loss.

Nigella sativa

Nigella sativa contains significant proportions of fatty acids that play a key role in blood circulation and promoting hair growth. Nigella sativa has low molecular weight, allowing it to penetrate into the hair roots. When used along with essential oils, it is thought to be able to penetrate into cell membranes more quickly. One study showed that a mixture of pure coconut oil and black seed oil was more effective in promoting hair growth compared to using pure coconut oil alone.
