1. Immune Modulation - Polysaccharides
Polysaccharides are compounds that can support our body’s natural immune modulation process. Immune modulation restores balance of our immune function by stimulating a weak immune system and calming it when it’s overactive, a crucial component in autoimmune conditions.
Certain mushrooms are distinguished food sources of immune modulating polysaccharides such as β-Glucans (beta-glucans).
E-MUNITY contains a combination of specific polysaccharides that have been formulated in precise amount to work in synergy for the immune system.
E-MUNITY is NOT the same as mushroom powders, mushroom extracts or mushroom supplements widely available in the market.

Old cactus pads are perhaps the most nutritious plant food on earth, containing at least 10,000 different phytonutrients. For comparison, an orange has about 176 phytonutrients.
To survive in extreme climate condition, cactus plant stores abundant nutrients in its pads. But getting these nutrients out of the pads is extremely difficult.
First, cactus pads are hand picked in the early morning when nutrients are most optimal. Spines are removed by hand, a labour-intensive process. The pads are then cold pressed and triple filtered to produce clear, microbe and contaminant-free cactus juice.

4. Hair and Scalp Care
ESSENTIAL OILS
Topical treatment DOES NOT address the root cause of Alopecia Areata, which is the immune system. However, in our experience, essential oils can provide some help with nourishing the scalp and hair from the surface as we work to nourish the body from the inside out. It is not the primary focus of our recovery journey, but a good supplemental one.

GINGER
I wrote in greater detail about using ginger to help manage Alopecia due to its natural JAK inhibitor compounds.
We used to apply ginger juice directly on the scalp either on its own or along with a few drops of essential oils. Recently, after more research, we prefer to use fresh ginger root as part of our routine topical care.
